Day 2 – Talent and devotion is the chemistry of success of Walter Rodrigues The stylist Walter Rodrigues has been in Curitiba last Tuesday, 23rd, to the conversation with the theme Inspiration, Creation, and Fashion Product. He came to the city to talk about his history. “I have grown up in a Japanese colony, in the city of Herculândia, and that has influenced my life. I abandoned the Technical Chemistry Course when I fallen in love by fashion, in 80s, which marked my trajectory on tailoring”, he said.
According to him, talks about his process of inspiration and creation it is impossible without says about his experiences with the stylists Glória Coelho and Clô Orozco, and his profound studies about history, fashion and culture.He talks about these to the public, that enchanted have listened the stylist talking about Rei Kawakuba and Yohji Yamamoto, two designers, who have made a revolution on fashion. The first of they, Rei, used on her creations a mix of philosophy and behavior, transforming them in pieces of sentiments, esthetic and beauty. Yamamoto also important, reinvented structures with cloth in incredible forms.
Another away of inspiration of Rodrigues it was the stylist French Madeleine Vionnet, who “is a symbol of modernity that in 30s created pieces which can be used nowadays”, says. About his inspiration to create the big collections, he is based on five segments: the 30s, and 70s, the masculine and feminine anthropology, the warm and samurai armors, and the XIX century. During the conversation, he exemplified all forms of inspiration and showed the final results of each one of his fashion shows presented.
