João Turin Award
Acácio Mendes Pereira Neto won Joao Turin Award “All
stylist has a dream to have the own brand. But I have to improve more and learn
with other people from Paraná”. This was the declaration of young Acácio Mendes
Pereira Neto, 20 years old, winner of seventh edition of João Turin Award of
Incentive for New Fashion Designers. Born in Guarapuava, but living in
Cianorte, the stylist is student of regional campus of Maringá University of
State.
Inspired on
the art work “The Line that Never Ends” of Paulo Leminski, writer and poetry
from Curitiba, and theme of this edition of award, Acácio considered in his
looks the symbolic aspects and form of the writer. “I look for characterized
the two sides of poetry Paulo Leminski. The lines that never ends and the lines
that catch and create forms”, explain. “I used straight and curves lines, dense
and fine forming the new, besides black and white, of revolt and calm, from
reclusion and bohemian” completed young.
The second place was student of
TECPUC, Carolina Toppan Rabello, and the third was Rubia Dallarmi Nisgoski of
Senai/PR.Besides the
trophy, Acácio wins a travel to Milan and Paris, integrating Entrepreneur Mission, organized by
Industry Federation of Paraná – Fiep, through International Business
Center – CIN.The winner
of this edition was surprised, also, with the invitation to participate of
Riccione Fashion Italy,
twentieth national competition to young fashion professionals and stylists that
will happen on July 19th to 25th in Riccione city.
The
invitation was delivered to Acácio by hands of Antonio Franceschini, executive
of CAN – Federmoda, who was in Curitiba
participating of 4th Paraná Business Collection, such as judge
commission of João Turin Award, and by the executive management of Sebrae/PR,
represented by director of operations of Sebrae/PR, Julio Cezar Agostini.
To
coordinator of Paraná Business Collection, Paulo Martins, the 13 finalists
deserves the same prize by devotion and proposal presented. “Besides I try, I can
not talk about just one or other finalist. I had involved so much with the
award that I supported all students with the same force”, affirmed Paulo, who talked
about the difficult choice of judge people. “Each year the judge body is more
selective because high level presented by students. We win with proposal
presented in each edition”, conclude.
The coordinator of PBC, Nereide Michel,
believes that the theme of 7th João Turin Award was a challenge to
participants. “It was a moment of discovering life and words of one of most
important intellectuals from Paraná, who can not be forgotten or ignored. The fashion,
through competition accomplishes the function of being a diffuser canal of
culture”.
