The Paraná Business Collection (PBC) is in its fourth edition, and
has been considered one of the most important fashion events of the national
calendar. The union of business and fashion shows the power of the state of
Paraná, which is included among the four major nacional poles of making clothes.
The three first editions of the Paraná Business Collection had a
focus on the release of summer collections. The first edition had happened
between July 23rd and 26th, 2007. The second edition started on July 28th and
finished on August 1st, 2008. The third edition took place from May 25th to
29th, 2009. The 4th Paraná Business Collection is going to take
place from February 22nd to 26th in 2010, with a change in the calendar of the
event: the presentation of the winter collection, as a marketing strategy, which
brings the possibility to show in catwalk the tendencies of fashion for cold
days. This is an important differential to the latest fashion collections showed
in the rest of Brazil, where the new tendencies for a tropical country are
emphasized.
The Paraná Business Collection is divided into two principal actions:
Fashion Shows of the best trends marks and fashion designers of Paraná, and Show
Room with conversation, lecture, discussion about fashion, and the João Turin
Incentive Award for New Fashion Designers, destinated to fashion courses of the
state.
The event is produced by FIEP (Industry Federation of Parana State),
through the Clothing Industry Sector Council, and by Sebrae/PR (Base Brazilian
Service to Small Companies). The Clothing Industry Sector Council of Parana has
participations in nine entrepreneurs syndicates: Sindivest, Sinvespar, Sinveste,
Sivale, Sindvest, Sinditextil, Sivepar, and Sindicouro. The majority
coordination of the event is under the responsibility of OX Comunication of
Fashion (Paulo Martins) and NaModa Comunication of Style (Nereide
Michel).
The Paraná Business Collection presents the evolution and development
of the clothing sector on State, reinforcing that the event is a center of
preferences for demanding purchasers and customers who look for clothes and
accessories differentiated by quality and design. Since the first edition, the
event is held at the Convention Center of Horácio Sabino Coimbra
(CIETEP).
